Description:

BEAUTIFUL log cabin - great for a couple or small family! Winds Aloft is a very charming mountain getaway. The main level has the living, dining, kitchen and laundry areas. Upstairs are the master (king bed) and second bedroom (two twins) and a shared bath (shower only).

All linens are provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, coffee pot, toaster - the works!

The outside decks are fantastic for relaxing - rocking chairs, picnic table and a gas grill are there to help you kick back and get the most of your vacation time - all while taking in a breathtaking view Grandfather Mountain and the Swinging Bridge from almost every room of the house!

Winds Aloft is located very close to Grandfather Mountain (4-5 miles) and is at a high elevation of 4200'. Perfect for enjoying our cool summers (the mountain air is the only A/C) and snowy winters! You are close to great hiking/biking trails - Blue Ridge Parkway, the Linville Gorge - and all of the trails that Grandfather Mountain has to offer!

Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, towns of Newland, Linville and Banner Elk are very close. Linville Falls, the Caverns, Roan Mountain, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Ski Beech, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Spruce Pine (gem mining) are a short, easy drive.

Whether you are curling up on the deck with a great book, grilling out on the front porch or soaking your tired muscles in the 4 person hot tub, Winds Aloft offers a great retreat.
